I'm a doctoral student at the University of Southern California, working towards a PhD in English with a Graduate Certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Prior to starting my PhD program, I served as a Lecturer at Chapman University, teaching courses in Rhetoric and Composition. I hold an MA in English from Chapman University and a BA from Whittier College, double-majoring in English and Political Science with a minor in History.
My scholarship is largely situated in the fields of Queer Studies and Latinx Studies. My major interests lie in Joto Studies, Affect Theory, Performance Studies, Biopolitics, Queer Marxism, AIDS Studies, Drag Studies, and Contemporary Queer and Latinx Literature, particularly YA Literature.
